As I was doing a spot of spring cleaning this past weekend, I happened across my student portfolio. On top of the case lay a small business card-size piece of paper with a hand scribbled note on it. I had written this note to myself in the early hours of some morning as I was in the throws of final portfolio comping. It simply states "Always remember this!" and is followed by my favorite quote about design.

In a recent kor group presentation, we used a series of stories to introduce three members of our team. These stories served as examples for how we think, work and have evolved as professionals in the creative industry. This presentation got me to wondering what story I can tell to highlight what we do as designers. I thought of key mentors in my time at Mass Art, amusing stories from my childhood, books that I had read, etc. when I remembered the following:
