![]() Anne Callahan, co-founder and principal at kor group, has a simple philosophy when it comes to design. "Design works when it is built on concise, well-defined messages, a clear hierarchy of information, and creative ideas," she says. It's an outlook that has served Anne well during her 20 years developing successful marketing, fundraising, and admissions materials for clients in the education, healthcare, and non-profit markets. Anne has extensive experience leading every aspect of high-level fundraising and development campaigns: assembling and managing multi-disciplinary creative teams, planning and conducting research, developing marketing plans and timelines, overseeing the creation of messaging and design standards, and building consensus among key internal and external stakeholders. Her education experience includes creating new graduate recruitment materials for Emerson College, strengthening the school's messaging and developing an effective new marketing strategy built around alumni testimonials. She led a complete rebranding initiative for the Beaver Country Day School, created a system of new admissions, development, and summer program materials for the school, and redesigned their website. Anne has also led and managed projects for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Cambridge School of Weston, Weston Jesuit School of Theology, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, and Berklee College of Music. Before founding kor group, Anne held a series of senior design and project management positions at Boston-based advertising and design studios, and served as creative director at two Boston-area universities. Her work has been recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), HOW, Graphis, and Print, and she served as a judge for the 2005 CASE awards. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art, and completed the Simmons College Leadership Program in 2004. Anne is a member of the CEO Forum, and in 2006 spoke at The Commonwealth Institute to a group of women entrepreneurs about the importance of branding and marketing in launching a successful small business. |
