Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean beef cubed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 to 3 tablespoons flour
- ¼ teaspoon thyme
- 1 can (10½ ounces) beef broth consommé soup
- 10½ ounces Burgundy wine

1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, sliced
or
1 (4 ounce) can, drained - 1 small jar boiled onions, drained
Beef Burgundy
Directions:
- In a large pot, brown beef in oil. Add thyme and flour, stirring to coat beef and collect drippings.
- Put beef in casserole dish, add mushrooms and onions.
- Mix together consommé and wine (use the empty consommé can to measure the wine, so both are equal parts), stir into beef.
- Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours.
- Serve over noodles or rice.
